The mission of the Bead Society of Eastern Pennsylvania is to encourage and promote interest in beadwork and its related fields through educational programs and social activities.
We love beads! We collect them, we
embroider with them, we string them, we weave them,
we wire wrap them. We even make some from PMC or polymer
clay or felt or glass.
If you love beads and beading too, join us at 7 pm the 3rd Tuesday, September - November, February - June, in the Ray Taylor Meeting Room of St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital, A Holiday Party is held in January at a member's home. If weather is questionable, when the Quakertown schools close due to weather conditions, we cancel our meeting. Check here for more information if that should happen.
Every meeting includes show and tell, where members share their most recent projects. We also have a speaker or a demonstration or a special project at each meeting. The Bead Society has an extensive library of beading books which members may borrow free of charge.

Bottles of Hope
We can all be really proud of ourselves. We have collected 116 bottles so far! These will be distributed to the UoP Abrahamson Cancer Center and the Fox-Chase Cancer Center for distribution to patients who need a lift. Bev Kaelin and Kathleen Edwards filled each bottle with a message of hope and inspiration, put the bottle in a pretty organza bag with a tag explaining Bottles of Hope, and will deliver them to the cancer centers. Each message also indicates that the bottle was decorated by a member of BEoEPa.
Sit 'N Bead First Saturday of the month, unless noted here, in the Ray Taylor Meeting Room of St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital, 10 am - 2:00 Informal gatherings of members to work on projects and to socialize. We may focus on a particular stitch or project, but any and all are welcome. Bring your beading kitbag and questions (or answers) and join us. We brown bag lunch and have a great time. Check here for a change from the first Saturday, which may occur due to holidays or scheduling conflicts at the hospital.
